About the program
Prom is celebrated by almost every American teen each spring, but every year patients battling illnesses may have to miss the party. The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation wants to provide the means for hospitals to host a prom-like event so that teen patients who might not be able to attend their own prom can still have that special, milestone moment.
Grants are given to provide a teen prom experience to pediatric patients ages 13-19 and are intended to fund the full experience – from venue, to decor, signage, food and beverage, and more. A focus of the program is to specifically provide the experience to teens who are not able to attend their own prom due to illness.
Applying for a grant
The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation is accepting applications for proms to be held in 2023. To be eligible for funding, applicants must be a children’s hospital or general hospital with dedicated pediatric department within geographic proximity to a Dunkin’ location.
