Bringing Joy to Kids Battling Illness Through Signature Impact Programs

The Foundation awarded more than $3 million through 42 Signature Impact Program grants in 2025, supporting hospital programs that help children facing serious medical challenges experience comfort, connection, and opportunities to just be kids.

Dogs for Joy

Through Dogs for Joy, the Foundation funded five new facility dogs to work alongside pediatric hospital care teams. These specially trained dogs provide comfort, help ease anxiety, and support children and families throughout treatment and recovery.

Dunkin’ Prom

The Foundation funded 15 Dunkin’ Proms in 2025, giving teen patients the opportunity to experience the celebrations, friendships, and milestones they might otherwise miss because of illness or extended hospital stays.

Dunkin’ Joyful Spaces

Ten Dunkin’ Joyful Spaces grants helped transform hospital environments into welcoming places for children and families. From playrooms and gardens to outdoor activity areas, these spaces offer opportunities for connection, comfort, and play.

Dunkin’ Connecting Joy

The Foundation awarded 12 Connecting Joy grants to support gaming experiences in children's hospitals. These grants funded equipment, dedicated staff, and improved connectivity, helping young patients stay connected with friends, family, and fellow patients during treatment.

Fighting Childhood Hunger Through Regional Grants

Food insecurity continued to be a major focus in 2025, with the Foundation awarding $4.3 million to hunger-relief organizations nationwide.

This included a $1 million grant to Feeding America, distributed through local food bank partners to support communities across the country.

One featured grantee, Feeding South Florida, used Foundation support to expand its School Pantry Program at three schools in Miami-Dade County. The program helps provide nutritious food to students and families experiencing food insecurity, supporting children's health, learning, and well-being.

Supporting Children's Health in Communities Nationwide

This progress is powered by Dunkin’ franchisees, employees, partners, and guests coming together to bring joy to kids who need it most, and to strengthen communities nationwide.

Through Regional Health Grants, the Foundation awarded $2.4 million to 133 organizations in 2025, supporting programs that help children facing illness find comfort, connection, and joy.

These grants funded a wide range of services, including music and art therapy, adaptive equipment, and other experiences designed to support children’s physical and emotional well-being.

At MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children's, Foundation funding supported music therapy services that help pediatric patients and their families express emotions, build resilience, and connect through shared musical experiences.

Fundraising and Volunteerism Powered by the Dunkin’ Community

Dunkin’ franchisees, crew members, brand teams, corporate partners, vendors, and guests continued to make the Foundation's work possible.

In 2025, fundraising initiatives including Give Joy to Kids, the BARK x Dunkin’ dog toy collaboration, and Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day collectively raised more than $8.1 million.

The Give Joy to Kids program alone generated $3.02 million.

The Dunkin’ community also came together during the 11th annual Good Citizens Month, organizing more than 70 volunteer events at food banks across the country.

These efforts demonstrate how local participation and national partnerships work together to deliver meaningful support to children and families.
