Long Island Times Covers $1.6M in Grants Supporting Kids in New York

The Long Island Times recently reported that the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation awarded more than $1.6 million in grants and Signature Impact Program funding to 68 nonprofit organizations across the New York metro region in 2025.

The funding supports programs that bring joy to children facing illness or food insecurity, with grants extending impact into 2026. Beneficiaries included Sunrise Day Camps Association, the Boomer Esiason Foundation, St. Joseph’s Health, and Long Island Cares, among others.

Highlights included funding for free summer camp experiences for children with cancer, scholarships for adolescents living with cystic fibrosis, hospital playrooms through the Foundation’s Joyful Spaces program, the addition of a full-time facility dog through Dogs for Joy, and the donation of more than 23,000 meals across Long Island.

Since 2006, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has granted more than $70 million to hundreds of national and local charities nationwide.
